Why Choose Us
🐦 We Care About Every Parrot
Each bird that comes into our aviary is treated with the same care and respect we’d give our own pets. We take the time to understand their personality, health needs, and behavior so they can be matched with the right home—not just any home
🏡 Safe, Loving Rehoming
We do not breed or sell parrots. Our focus is on giving birds a second chance by placing them in responsible, loving homes where they’ll be valued as part of the family. Every adoption is handled with care to ensure it’s the right fit—for both the bird and the adopter.
🤝 Help for New Owners
Whether you’ve owned parrots before or are completely new, we’re here to help. We provide honest advice about diet, cage setup, social needs, and more. Our goal is to make sure you feel confident and supported as you welcome your new companion.
💬 Honest & Easy Process
We keep things simple and transparent. There are no hidden fees or confusing steps. We’ll walk you through the rehoming or adoption process clearly and honestly, so you always know what to expect.
🔄 Rehoming With Respect
If you can no longer care for your parrot, we offer a respectful, judgment-free rehoming process. We understand that life changes happen. Our priority is to make the transition as smooth and safe as possible for the bird and for you.
🌎 National Reach, Personal Touch
While we’re based locally, we work with adopters and rehoming cases across the country. Whether you’re near or far, we offer clear communication and one-on-one support throughout the process.
🦜 Parrot Care Basics
Helping You Build a Happy, Healthy Life with Your BirdCaring for a parrot is a long-term commitment—and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Below are the most important aspects of responsible parrot ownership, based on compassion, experience, and proper education.
🏠 Housing & Environment
Parrots need more than just a cage—they need space, stimulation, and safety. Choose a large, clean cage with plenty of room for movement, stretching, and climbing. Place it in a part of your home where your parrot can be part of daily life, but away from constant noise or drafts. Clean the cage regularly and offer perches, chewable toys, and foraging activities to keep your bird mentally engaged.
🥗 Nutrition & Feeding
A healthy parrot diet includes more than just seeds. We recommend a balanced mix of high-quality pellets, fresh vegetables, fruits, and occasional healthy seeds or nuts. Avoid avocado, chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, and salty or sugary foods, as these can be toxic. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
🎯 Mental Stimulation & Enrichment
Parrots are intelligent and social creatures that need regular mental stimulation to stay healthy. Boredom can lead to feather plucking, aggression, or depression. Provide interactive toys, puzzles, music, safe branches, and time outside the cage every day. Talking, training, and playing with your bird also builds a stronger bond
🧼 Grooming & Hygiene
Regular grooming is essential. Parrots may need:
Nail trims
Wing trims (if chosen and done humanely)
Baths or misting to maintain healthy feathers
Keep food dishes, toys, and cages clean to prevent illness. Hygiene is just as important for birds as it is for people
💬 Social Needs & Bonding
Most parrots are flock animals—they don’t just enjoy attention, they depend on it. Spending daily time talking, interacting, and handling your bird builds trust and reduces behavioral problems. Never isolate your parrot for long periods. They thrive on companionship and routine
🩺 Veterinary Care
Parrots need avian veterinarians, not just regular vets. Yearly checkups help catch early signs of illness, even if your bird appears fine. Watch for changes in appetite, droppings, behavior, or energy levels—these could indicate health issues.
